R.O.O.T.S., standing for Resilient-Optimistic-Open-Minded-Thriving-Serene, offers a groundbreaking support option for young people facing challenges with substance use and mental health. Unlike traditional programs, R.O.O.T.S. operates out of Evergreen Grove—a 115-acre therapeutic farm and livestock rescue center, providing a refreshing and effective alternative to conventional clinical settings.
At R.O.O.T.S., there are no clinics or lab coats. Instead, the program immerses participants in a natural and nurturing environment where jeans, boots, and smiles are the everyday uniform. The staff includes a team of clinical professionals and peers in long-term recovery, all dedicated to supporting each individual’s journey towards health and happiness. Participants engage in a variety of hands-on activities such as animal care, Equine Assisted Learning, gardening, barn work, and arts and crafts. These activities are not only therapeutic but also aim to help participants achieve personal growth and measurable progress towards recovery.
Structured to harness the therapeutic power of nature and community, R.O.O.T.S. provides a unique, effective path to recovery, helping young people thrive in an environment of support and practical engagement.
