DBMHS (Diné Be’iina’ Hoozhoogo Silá) provides culturally appropriate comprehensive behavioral health services to Native American families on and near the Navajo Nation. With a mission to improve health and well-being, DBMHS operates eleven outpatient treatment centers across Arizona and New Mexico, including locations in Chinle, Dilkon, Fort Defiance, Kaibeto, Kayenta, Newlands, Red Mesa, Tuba City, Crownpoint, Gallup, and a residential treatment center in Shiprock. The organization focuses on creating personalized health management plans, building coalitions, and enhancing crisis response capabilities. DBMHS is committed to educating communities on the signs and symptoms of suicide, reducing risks associated with suicide and substance use, and ensuring the provision of quality client services. Upholding the vision of “Diné Be’iina’ Hoozhoogo Silá” (In the Navajo Way of life there is beauty before you), DBMHS prioritizes licensure, certification, facility enhancement, advanced management information systems, and robust policy frameworks to support its community-oriented goals.
